All students that live on the north campus of West Chester University are required to spend a large amount of money (ranging from $1,286 - $1,850) every semester on a meal plan and this price continues to rise every academic year. This semester alone the options for food on campus has a lack of variety and quite frankly, it’s just plain gross. The quality of the food seems to be decreasing and items at select places are even removed from the menus, all the while the prices of meal plans continue to rise. In addition to the increase of the price of meal plans, the value a meal swipe holds has gone down. Bottled drinks and grab and go items are no longer allowed to be purchased with meal plans, but are flex only. I ask you all to sign this petition so I can present this issue to West Chester, as I am so sick of the lack of good food on campus!
