Dear Friend, Please join us this Saturday, May 16th for the Barclay Grounds Preservation Alliance 2015 Spring Celebration. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. with socializing and a silent auction of over 100 items (a great variety with something for every taste, lifestyle, and budget!), it also includes a live auction of a dozen special items, and ends with more socializing. The event will be held in one of West Chester's beautiful old estate homes - historic Windon Hall (near Hillsdale Elementary School). Windon Hall is over 300 years old (built 1710), with an 1882 addition by noted architect Frank Furness. The price per person is $90 (of which $70 is tax deductible). This price includes: wines selected by Collier's of Centreville; beers and soft drinks provided by Iron Hill Restaurant and Brewery of West Chester as well as a signature cocktail drink of the evening; and light fare from area restaurants. Click on the following link to make your reservation (or paste it into your browser). Directions will be sent on request. http://www.savethebarclaygrounds.org/2015-spring-celebration/ Bring old friends, make some new ones. All proceeds go to help West Chester complete its preservation of the Barclay Grounds as a new Borough park. Over $1 million has been raised to date (over 80% of the purchase price). The Spring Celebration is part of the BGPA's efforts to raise the additional $160K needed from private citizens by the end of this year.
