You are invited to a fine vintage event this Saturday, May 16 - an evening that offers food, drink, conversation, and auction opportunities. This year’s Barclay Grounds Preservation Alliance (BGPA) Spring Celebration is at historic Windon Hall, located on the western edge of West Chester. Beautiful Windon Hall was built in 1710, with an 1882 addition by noted architect Frank Furness.
The per person cost of $80 includes: wines selected by Collier's of Centreville; beers and soft drinks provided by Iron Hill Restaurant and Brewery; the "signature drink" of the evening, the Barclay Grounder Old Fashioned; and light fare from area restaurants and caterers.
From 7:00 pm onward peruse the many, varied items in the silent auction, and later bid on the 10-12 special items in the live auction.
Tickets are $80 for reservations paid prior to May 10th; and $90 thereafter. Click on the following link to make your reservation http://www.savethebarclaygrounds.org/2015-spring-celebration/
Since December 2013 the Barclay Grounds Preservation Alliance (BGPA) has raised over $1,000,000 to help the Borough of West Chester purchase the Barclay Grounds and permanently preserve them as a new Borough park. The BGPA’s Spring Celebration is our major fundraising event for the year for raising the additional $200,000 that the BGPA has guaranteed to raise from private subscriptions towards the purchase. In 2014 the BGPA raised 25% of that target. Help us to surpass this in 2015 - while having a fun night out!
I look forward to seeing you there!
