As a parent of 3 West Bloomfield school aged children I feel like Dr. Hill and Ms. Barash don't have our children's best interest in their minds.  Their actions or in some cases lack of action show this.  

Dr. Hill's emails say all the correct things to keep people at ease but he doesn't listen to stakeholders.  I for one have emailed him several times without so much as a simple reply.  I hear you, I'll take that under consideration.  I'm not the only one.  Those fortunate enough to get a reply from him just get a PC answer that doesn't really answer their question or solve their dilemma. 

The current COVID situation is tough.  Closing our schools is the wrong move for many, including my family.  We were told parents would have the option of virtual or face to face.  I fully understand and appreciate some parents aren't comfortable with their children being in person now.  I also know that my children and many others NEED face to face for a plethora of reasons.  Let's start with maybe the most important....the mental aspect, social and many kids learn better in person.  There are simply too many barriers for lots of families to have their kids learn effective virtually.  Bandwidth issues, sibling interruptions, dogs barking, packages being delivered, perhaps some people don't have enough room in their house for everyone to have a quiet learning environment.

In short the school district led by Dr. Hill and Ms. Barash do what is convenient for them and don't concern themselves with what the community needs or wants.
