নেতাজির অন্তর্ধান রহস্য সমাধানের জন্য দৃঢ় পদক্ষেপ নিলে তবেই পাবেন আমাদের ভোট 

 

 

আমরা, নিম্নস্বাক্ষরকারীরা, নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র বসুর রহস্যময় অন্তর্ধানের বিতর্কের একটি চূড়ান্ত সমাধান চাই। এটা এখন নিঃসন্দেহে প্রমাণিত যে নেতাজি বিমান দুর্ঘটনায় মারা যাননি। চন্দ্রচূড় ঘোষ এবং অনুজ ধর লিখিত The Bose Deception এবং Conundrum: Subhas Bose’s Life After Death বইদুটিতে স্পষ্টভাবে তা প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছে।

 

কংগ্রেস ছাড়া প্রায় সব রাজনৈতিক দলই 1945 সালে বিমান দুর্ঘটনায় নেতাজির মৃত্যু তত্ত্বকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছে। যখন 2006 সালে বিচারপতি মুখার্জি তদন্ত কমিশনের রিপোর্ট কংগ্রেস সরকার দ্বারা পত্রপাঠ প্রত্যাখ্যান করা হয়েছিল, তখন সমস্ত বিরোধী দলগুলি তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছিল। তাদের মধ্যে ছিল ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টি (বিজেপি) তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস এবং বামফ্রন্টের শরিক দলগুলি।

 

আশ্চর্যজনকভাবে, 2014 সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পরে বিজেপি কংগ্রেসের যে অবস্থানের তীব্র বিরোধিতা করে এসেছে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে, তাকেই আঁকড়ে ধরে রাখার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। যদিও কেন্দ্রে বিজেপি সরকার ভারতের স্বাধীনতায় নেতাজির অবদানকে স্মরণ করার জন্য বেশ কয়েকটি পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছে, অদ্ভুতভাবে তা নেতাজির অন্তর্ধান বিষয়ে সম্পূর্ণ নীরবতা বজায় রেখেছে। হাস্যকরভাবে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিজেপি এবং দলের কিছু নেতা সরকারি অবস্থানের বিরুদ্ধে গিয়ে বিমান দুর্ঘটনায় নেতাজির মৃত্যুর তত্ত্বকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে বিবৃতি জারি করে চলেছেন। সরকারের উপর এ বিষয়ে চাপ দেওয়ার কোনও চিহ্ন কিন্তু পরিলক্ষিত হয় না। 

 

একই সময়ে, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস বাংলা এবং বাঙালির আত্মসম্মানের বিষয়ে বিভিন্ন সময়ে সোচ্চার হয়েছে, 23 জানুয়ারিকে জাতীয় ছুটি হিসাবে ঘোষণা করার বিষয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের কাছে আবেদন জানালেও নেতাজির অন্তিম পরিণতির বিষয়টি নিয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের নিষ্ক্রিয়তাকে বাঙালির গর্বের ইস্যুতে পরিণত করেনি। অন্যান্য অনেক বিষয়ে আক্রমণাত্মক অবস্থান নিলেও, যেমন একটি কেন্দ্রীয় প্রকল্প থেকে মহাত্মা গান্ধির নাম সরিয়ে দেওয়াকে বাঙালির অপমান বলে সংসদের বাইরে ধর্ণায় বসলেও, এই বিষয়ে তাদের নীরবতা বিভ্রান্তিকর। বিশেষ করে যখন এটা সবাই বোঝেন যে এই বিষয়টি নিয়ে আন্দোলন করলে তাঁরা রাজনৈতিক দলমত নির্বিশেষে দেশজুড়ে সমর্থন পাবেন। 

 

সব দলগুলিই নেতাজির অন্তিম পরিণতি ঘিরে বিতর্কের সমাধান করার চেষ্টা না করে শুধু সারবত্তাহীন রাজনৈতিক তরজায় বেশি উত্সাহী। আমরা দাবি করছি নেতাজির অন্তর্ধান রহস্যের অবসান ঘটাতে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার একটি বিশেষ তদন্ত দল গঠন করুক।

 

এই দাবিটি পশ্চিমবঙ্গ থেকেই উত্থাপিত করা উচিত বলেই আমরা মনে করি। ফলে আমরা পশ্চিমবঙ্গের আসন্ন বিধানসভা নির্বাচন নিয়ে একটি বড় পদক্ষেপ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি।

 

আপনাদের কাছে আমরা স্পষ্ট বার্তা পৌঁছে দিতে চাই যে আমরা শুধুমাত্র সেই দলকেই ভোট দেব যার বিষয়টিকে যথাযথ গুরুত্ব সহকারে নির্বাচনী ইস্যুতে পরিণত করবে। কোনও দল যদি তা না করে, আমরা NOTA বেছে নিতে বাধ্য হব। নির্বাচনী ইস্যু করার পর কোন দলকে আমরা ভোট দেবো তা নির্ভর করবে আপনাদের প্রচেষ্টার আন্তরিকতার উপর।

 

আমরা এটা স্পষ্টভাবে জানিয়ে দিতে চাই যে শুধুমাত্র মুখের কথা আর যথেষ্ট নয়। আমরা নির্দিষ্ট একটি প্রতিশ্রুতি চাই যে আপনার দল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় একটি প্রস্তাবের মাধ্যমে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের প্রতি এই দাবি উত্থাপন করবে। পূর্বেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় এই ধরনের প্রস্তাব গ্রহণ করে কেন্দ্রের উপর চাপ সৃষ্টির একাধিক দৃষ্টান্ত আছে। এই প্রতিশ্রুতিটি অবশ্যই আপনার দলের নির্বাচনী ইশতেহারে উপস্থিত থাকতে হবে এবং নির্বাচনী প্রচারের একটি বিশিষ্ট অংশ হতে হবে।

 

আমরা আশা করব যে এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়টিতে, যার সঙ্গে বাংলার গরিমা ওতপ্রোতভাবে জড়িত, আপনার দল জনমতকে অগ্রাহ্য করবে না।

Take concrete steps to resolve the mystery of Netaji’s disappearance mystery in order to get our votes

 

 

We, the undersigned, want a final resolution to the long-standing controversy of the mysterious disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. It is now proven beyond any doubt that Netaji did not die in the plane crash. The investigative work published in The Bose Deception and Conundrum: Subhas Bose’s Life After Death by Chandrachur Ghose and Anuj Dhar clearly establish this. 

 

Almost all political parties, except the Congress, have rejected the plane crash theory regarding Netaji’s death in 1945. When the report of the Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry (JMCI) was rejected summarily by the Congress government in 2006, all opposition parties lodged a strong protest, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which was the most vociferous, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Left Parties.

 

Yet, after coming to power in 2014, the BJP has decided to continue with the old position of the Congress which they had protested against while being in opposition. Although the central government has taken a number of measures to commemorate Netaji’s contribution to India’s independence, it has strangely maintained near total silence on this matter. Ironically, the West Bengal BJP and individual leaders of the party continue to issue statements rejecting the plane crash theory, which goes against the official position of the central government run by their own party. 

 

At the same time, while the TMC has been vociferous on Bengali and Bengal’s pride, and has confronted the central government on the matter of declaring 23 January as a national holiday, the party has never made inaction of the central government on the issue of Netaji’s fate an issue of Bengali pride. While it has taken aggressive position on a number of other matters, going to extent of making the claim that renaming a Central scheme insults Bengali sentiments, on this matter their silence is confounding.  

 

In sum, it can be said that our political parties keep paying lip service to Netaji without addressing the biggest controversy surrounding his fate. We demand that the central government institute a multidisciplinary special investigation team to bring a closure on the mystery of Netaji’s disappearance which continues to draw the keen interest of the younger generation. 

 

In view of the fact this demand must be raised from West Bengal, we have decided to take a major step with regard to the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal. 

 

It is our clear message to you that we will vote ONLY for the party which makes this an electoral issue with full seriousness. If none of you do that, we will prefer NOTA over you. In the happy circumstances that all of you take up the issue, we will decide based on the amount of effort and sincerity you show. 

 

We would like to state it clearly that mere lip service will not do any more. We want a clear promise that your party will work to bring a resolution through the West Bengal Legislative Assembly and clearly communicate the demand to the central government. Your promise must feature in your election manifesto and be a prominent part of your election campaign. 

 

We are sure your party will appreciate the value public opinion which now will not be limited to mere verbal expression but will be reflected through votes in the 2026 Assembly elections.
