Lower Tuition for Online Classes

The Issue

The world is experiencing unprecedented times and one of the biggest groups of people affected are students. At the school I attend, Wentworth Institute of Technology, the administration has decided to make the summer semester entirely remote. This is understandable as we as a school do not want to risk the safety of the students or the faculty. However, the school has chosen not to change the cost of tuition. I am an architecture student and therefore the success of my education depends largely on my access to the studios that we are provided on campus. With an online education, I simply will not have access to that space. One semester at Wentworth costs $17,985. Included in that price is my own studio space. It is unfair and generally upsetting that the school thinks it is okay to continue to charge the students for facilities and resources that we don't have access to with an online "remote" education. Please join me in signing this petition to get the administration's attention. Please reach out to the president and the rest of his administration with your concerns. We need to be heard on this issue!!
