Weightloss injection to be made available on NHS in Northern Ireland

Weightloss injection to be made available on NHS in Northern Ireland

The Issue

Saxenda has been approved on the NHS England & NHS Scotland.

Unfortunately it is not available on NHS Northern Ireland.

Liraglutide (also called Saxenda) is a weight loss medicine that works by making you feel fuller and less hungry. It's taken as an injection once a day.

As Saxenda is not available on NHS N.I private companies that sell these injections are selling them at an extortionate cost.

A month supply works out around £250 depending on company.

Please help by signing the petition to help & pass it on to Robin Swann ( N.I Health Minister)

Thank you.
