Weare, NH Parks and Recreation Department and Board of Selectman have taken it upon their selves to close our town Tax Payer funded boat ramp at Chase Park due to Covid-19 for the whole season; although our Governor has stated all boat ramps can be open. Along with closing the boat ramp for the whole season they have planned to allow the residents of Horace Lake to launch their boats for the season. If the ramp is closed then it should be closed to everyone! There are some questionable decisions that have been made around this and that have the potential of being made for personal, family or friends gains but not the general public, I am not saying it was made that way but there is the potential. Our Board of selectman have been emailed by many residents and they have not responded to anyone’s email! I am starting this petition to completely open the boat ramp to all residents! This tax payer boat ramp is only being allowed to open for a select few tax payers. This should not be allowed! Open it for all Town taxpayers or open it for none! This is unacceptable and corrupt!
