The Leisure Club at the Croydon Park Hotel or Clarion Hotel has been a place for everyone to meet in an environment that was once safe and comfortable for users of its Leisure Club for over 30 years. It has changed management several times and the effect of that has meant the Leisure Club facilities have suffered to the point where it is no longer considered safe but more of a health hazard to human life. 

The gym equipment is often out of service for months and the swimming pool is very cold as well as the air conditioning which has not worked for years. The pool is below the recommended temperature to swim in. The staff is wearing coats, hats, scarves & gloves to keep warm at present. There is a lot of dirt and dust especially in the ceilings and needs a complete makeover. Changing rooms are very dirty & there is plenty of visible signs of mould in the showers due to damp conditions. Mould associated with damp buildings can trigger nasal congestion, sneezing, cough, wheeze, respiratory infections and worsen asthma and allergic conditions. People who are more susceptible to these symptoms and other serious health effects include weakened immune systems.

We want all machines working and updated, the heating back on, the swimming pool heated, clean gym and tiles fixed and cleaned especially around the swimming pool and changing rooms, with no threat of legionnaires disease. Staff looked after & wearing protective clothes. We want parking extended to 2 or 3 hours. We don't want empty promises but swift action to put things right. We want timescales and transparency from management.

People have paid for a service to which they are not getting and are tired of hearing empty promises. This has been going on for years.
