On May 27, 2020, in La Mesa, California (San Diego County), Police Officer Matt Dages Badge Number 1281 was caught on video displaying Police Misconduct Physically, Police Harassment, arrested  and committed perjury filing false misdemeanor charges against innocent 23 yr. old civilian Amaurie Johnson.

After the community protesting in La Mesa, reviewing of the released cop footage and support from Attorney Geneviéve Jones-Wright, all charges were dropped.

Dropping the charges against Amaurie Johnson is not enough!!

Amaurie‘s Constitutional  Rights were Violated!!

Section 118.1

According to PC 118.1, a prosecutor must prove the following to convict a cop under this code section: the defendant is a police officer and while acting in his official capacity, wrote a report in a criminal matter, the report included false information about a material matter, and the officer acted knowingly when he entered the false information in the report.
