El problema

We grew up with you. We’re still here. And we’re ready for one more chapter.

For many of us, My Chemical Romance has never been just a band.

Their music found us at different moments in our lives. Some of us were teenagers when we first heard them. We grew up, changed, survived things we never thought we would have to survive, built lives, lost people, found people, became entirely different versions of ourselves — and somehow, the music stayed.

Years passed. We waited. The band returned. We got to see them onstage again, hear those songs again, and realize something that perhaps we already knew:

We never really left.

And then Gerard said something incredibly simple:

“You deserve a new record.”

So this is our answer.

Yes. We want MCR5.

Not because My Chemical Romance owes us another album. They don’t.

We want it because, if there is another story they want to tell, we want them to know there is still a world waiting to hear it.

We want the strange songs. The loud songs. The uncomfortable songs. The songs we don’t understand until three years later. We want the art, the concepts, the ridiculous theories, the arguments about lyrics, the excitement of hearing something for the first time and knowing that, somewhere else in the world, thousands of people are hearing it for the first time too.

Most of all, we want another chapter because we love what these four people create together.

This petition isn't a demand.

It is a love letter.

A very loud, slightly unhinged, international love letter from the people who grew up with My Chemical Romance and somehow never stopped caring.

So Gerard, Mikey, Ray and Frank:

We grew up with you.
We’re still here.
And if you’re ready for one more chapter…

So are we.

MCR5.

The world is still listening.

With all our love,
Killjoys Around the World.
