The tennis courts lights at Kalakaua District Park have been unfixed for almost half a year. The community has constantly reached out to maintenance and the head of the district park regarding the lights. We've received the same response: "We're going to fix it."

This not only affects the tennis playing community, but also our rugby, football, and soccer players. Practices and live play are cut short for everyone. Lights are important as well for the safety of our community and Keiki, who now play sports in the dark. The Honolulu Parks and Recreations are responsible for maintaining all community parks across the island of O'ahu. 

I am starting this petition to bring urgent attention to the district park lights. The response to fixing the lights have been poor and many of us are patiently waiting. I am hoping this petition will help things move forward and everyone can enjoy playing and socializing again after sun down.
