Dear supporters, if you remember I mentioned in my petition there was a pilot scheme for teachers to also lifeguard lessons. This is now happening in Barnet too in the near future. All the more reason for a significant wage rise aside from the wage freeze issue. School swimming lessons can have up to 20 children in the water. Please, urgently share this petition as far and wide as possible, contact your councillors, union representatives and colleagues. This isn't just about swimming teachers now, it is about lifeguards too.
