We should allow the purchase of Gel Blasters in NSW

We should allow the purchase of Gel Blasters in NSW
The issue
Dear viewers,
I’m sure many of you have been dying to acquire something other than a nerf gun or cap gun. For many years, Australia - especially New South Wales, have had strictly regulated gun laws. They classify air soft and gel blaster products as “firearms” and politicians state how they can be somehow converted into a real firearm, which is A; not true, as gel blasters and air soft, plastic or not, are not designed to withstand the power of a bullet, and B; some politicians don’t even know what gel blasters are or how they work. They’ve even started stating that gel and air soft replicas are classified as real guns, even though they don’t use gunpowder, as stated in the dictionary definition of a gun: a weapon, say a rifle or pistol, in which a projectile is propelled BY GUNPOWDER. I think this is absolutely absurd, and that even if we can’t bring BOTH air soft and gel blasters back, we should still be left with one option. Note that these are in many other countries, like China and USA, considered toys and can be bought without a licence at even a toy store. Without a doubt should NSW follow the acts of Queensland, who have legalised gel blasters and also created a safe community around them, encouraging people in the form of videos to instead play with them at home and not in a public place. Many people have already acquired gel blasters under the age of 18, using various importation methods, and we haven’t had much crimes done with them lately.
in conclusion, gel blasters and their air soft counterparts, should indeed be made legal as they don’t classify as a firearm under the dictionary definition, can Not be converted into a real firearm, and ultimately, they are designed to be fun toys for children and adults alike.
thank you and I hope you agree
