We say "No!" to Vesper Village!

We say "No!" to Vesper Village!
The Issue
Local residents who endure poorly maintained infrastructure are looking at the prospect of 3000 new homes on 600 acres in the middle of Springfield. Tell the Mayor and Aldermen "No!" to Vesper Village!
In the attached picture, the pink spot near the words Hwy 431 IS WALMART. YES, VESPER VILLAGE IS THAT BIG.
I am sure the developers are working around the clock to try and gain local support for their 3,000 residential behemoth which runs from Bransford to Lahr Rd and stretches from S. Main St to Highway 49 in Springfield.
Unfortunately they can’t get around the facts that have been laid out. One of the things that developers love to do is to provide a pleasant map with their development tucked in nicely without satellite imagery to give the illusion that it will sit unnoticed and seamlessly blend into the city as easy as it does on the map. But what they don’t do is compare it to the real imagery. They don’t show you how their development dwarfs entire areas of Springfield. They don’t show all the houses, neighborhoods or the folks who call this area home. In the attached picture, the pink spot near the words Hwy 431 IS WALMART. YES, VESPER VILLAGE IS THAT BIG.
Now that we are seeing things realistically I want to continue to be real with you. This is a complete gentrification of an entire area of town and especially the Bransford Community. When the residents are pushed out or priced out; by the developers and their vision for the city and the community, where will they go? This is not sustainable growth and this will be a very defining moment in your elected officials and whether they represent the people or the powerful.
Think about the size of this development! 7.2% of all the geographical area of Springfield in ONE development. Tell the Springfield aldermen and mayor NO!
Think about the schools, the traffic, the growth rate, the massive infrastructure upgrades, the runoff, the impact on the character of all these various neighborhoods and communities by this single development.
