Misleading media outlets, and unprofessional news reporters twisting truths to their liking and making up ludicrous lies. This is the situation we are faced with. I ask of you; is this a world you want to be a part of? Where lousy liars and their stupidity are ruining the younger generations and others lives with their tremendous power and influence. With trusted news outlets and respected journalists are misleading and lying to their audience, us, our community has become dangerously misinformed on important events, topics and issues. Hello my name is Huxlie and today I will be influencing you to do your own research and not trust a thing these jokers of journalists say, as I have done countless hours on researching this topic and I have seen how these powerful truth manipulators twist truths and blatantly lie to our faces.

Powerful and influential “reliable” news outlets take advantage of the their lazy audience who will just blindly believe what they say without doing any research. They use this power to ruin lives bringing personal problems into the workplace. One example of this is an incident in a high school at Oklahoma where a former high school football coach was wrongfully accused for shouting racial slurs and a long list of inappropriate comments on the athletes playing in the basketball match for which he was commentating. It was blamed on Scott Sapulpa, however the person who was actually saying it was the other commentator. In no time at all, one of the biggest news company from the Oklahoma state intentionally falsely reported that Scott Sapulpa was the culprit. He was fired as a teacher from his school and disregarded from every place of work in his district because of this false information. His life was ruined in a split second. Friends and family stopped talking to him. He even received threat and hate calls.

Careless and money wanting, supposedly trusted journalists and news outlets lie and mislead everyone about fake stories and blindly accuse innocent people of heinous crimes because of their lazy research and their hunger for money. There has been countless times where people have been unintentionally put in the spot light or falsely accused of crimes they didn’t commit and the media continue to cover these stories and their mistakes. A few years ago 7 news reported that Cameron Forsyth was high when he ran over a seventeen year old boy which was being shown in a video, however the person in the video was not Cameron Forsyth at all. The video was constantly on replay on their apps and websites. This is an example of how much the media does not care about the people’s lives they are ruining, but instead the money they generate as they rushed to produce this report and to beat the other news channels to the story just so they would make a little bit more money than they already have. Cameron Forsyths life was ruined all because the of the news company’s selfishness and their mercilessness for the local community.

You may say that all is okay because if the media companies apologise than everyone will know it’s fake news and everyone will disregard the claim immediately. However, even after both media outlets from my examples made an apology the apology videos were seen by a mere ten thousand people compared to the original stories which received millions of views. Once fake news is published and out there, unfortunately the damage is done and can’t be fixed.

If no action is taken soon all media’s will tell us everything we know and have an opinion on. There will be a future where we have no other source of information and are forced to believe every thing these liars say. We are completely oblivious of how these big corporations control what we see and don’t see, what we believe and what we don’t believe and what we know and what we don’t.

 This is a serious problem and needs to be fixed. It’s apparent that media outlets like these two can say anything at all and get away with it. These unscrupulous people report on stories and exaggerate it a thousand percent or put any twist on it they want to make more money or to frame whoever they want in a bid to have us believe their deceitful lies. That is why I need your help to sign this petition right now to force all media companies to have true or false fact checkers.
