It's more than past time "we, the people..." got this done!  Matthew Shepard symbolizes the innocent thousands who suffer vicious attacks because of race, sexual orientation, religion, or other aspects of their character that they have every right to assert.  When the House passed the Matthew Shepard Act on a bipartisan vote of 249 to 175, we moved one step closer to securing long-overdue federal protections against such heinous, hate-based crimes.
