US states are making it more and more difficult for LGBTQ to live normal lives. Recently the transgender community has been a target, with most states creating bills to scrape away their rights. These have affected trans citizens’ education, identification, birth certificates, and gender-affirming care. Signing our petition to stop anti-trans bills is crucial in supporting the rights and well-being of transgender individuals.  Anti-trans bills often target transgender people's basic rights, such as access to appropriate healthcare, education, and public spaces. By stopping these bills, we promote equality and affirm every individual's right to live an authentic life. Transgender people are disproportionately affected by mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Studies show that 40% of transgender adults have attempted suicide at some point in their lives, which is nearly nine times the national average (4.6%). Discriminatory policies make these struggles worse. Supporting this petition can contribute to a safer and more supportive environment for the trans community.
