The What I Wish I Knew Foundation is community organization founded on the basis that in order to get a stampede turned around you gotta start from the front and in order to do that you have to lead by example. We owe the younger generation a sense of knowledge , opportunity & resources because they're born into a reality shaped by the decisions we make today.

Ceo & Founder Emmanuel "Manny215" Clark started the What I Wish I Knew Foundation in 2019 as a returning citizen back into society from jail with the aim to reach the youth through entrepreneurship and life skills. 

Since then , the What I Wish I Knew Foundation has had tremendous success and has been able to make impact through doing events to get our message across.

This past year of 2023 has been challenging for us as we had to cancel our much needed High School tour due to lack of funding & powers that be not wanting to even prioritize a meeting with us. Also our initial idea for our annual Power of Community event was derailed due to unforeseen circumstances and powers that be saying that we basically couldn't not execute our vision 36 hours before our date that we promoted and put time into all summer. This canceled an experience for a potential 2,000 plus people who planned to attend through RSVP.

Our aim with this petition is to get the voices of our support heard for us to have a seat at the table and get prioritized when it comes to funding and resources for our programming. 

The city of Philadelphia recently awarded millions of dollars for gun violence prevention to organizations who had no real programming and had to give money back. We are not an organization whose aim is to just make "Stop the Violence" t shirts and march in the street. We have a real connection with the youth and we have a yearly calendar of programming that needs funding and we were not granted the resources or information to even be positioned or considered.
