We need change in the justice system

We need change in the justice system
The Issue
My brother Jamie Forbes was murdered on the 15th of January 2024 in Aberdeen. 999 were called to shouts of a man in distress between 08:00 & 10:15 at a highrise in Aberdeen. Residents reported his cries for help and the exact location of where he was. The 999 operater wrote down the wrong information given to them. The police attended and since they were given the wrong information they focused their search in the wrong half of the highrise. The officers were on the scene for 40 minutes and searched a few floors before radioing for permission to leave. The sergeant gave them permission and the officers left without locating Jamie who was only a few floors up from the areas the police searched.
The police officers didn't speak to the original 999 caller who was at home and knew the location of Jamie. For some unexplainable reason the officers and the sergeant dismissed the situation without going to speak with the 999 caller. If they had, they would have been given accurate information and Jamie would have been saved.
This is so devastating to learn, if due diligence was followed I wouldn't be fighting for justice for my big brother who was loved unconditionally by his family and friends.
What I would like to get in place is #JAMIES LAW. If police are searching for a person in distress, all avenues should be followed to locate the person. The police can't just give up and leave without finding and securing the person who's life could be depending on them.
This is not a lot to ask for and should be standard practice. We are brought up being told of we are in danger, call the police or get attention. Human life is not something that can be judged by their lifestyle.
I have been fighting every day since 15/01/2024 to get the truth and justice for my brother Jamie. I will never give up!
