Many autistic and nonverbal children are unable to explain what happens to them during the school day. Parents trust schools to keep their children safe, but too often families are left without answers when injuries, behavioral changes, or signs of distress happen.

Installing cameras in special education classrooms can help protect vulnerable children, provide transparency, and create a safer environment for both students and staff. Cameras can also help resolve misunderstandings, improve accountability, and give families peace of mind.

This petition is not about blaming teachers or staff. Many educators work incredibly hard and care deeply about these children. This is about safety, protection, and ensuring that every child is treated with dignity and respect.

We are asking school districts and educational authorities to require cameras in special education classrooms to help protect autistic and disabled students who may not be able to speak for themselves.
