Health and economics are the main components to being a living and thriving human. In the Melrose Park area we have plenty of clothing stores, gas stations, and parks for our material lives, but we lack affordable and healthy food options. The area is clustered with fast food restaurants,  which makes it much easier to spend money on food that is not good for our children or selves. It ultimately costs more and isn’t as healthy which is why we have such a high rate of obesity and poor local economy. Adding a Woodman's to the area would be helpful in several ways. It’s going to allow us to make healthier and more cost effective choices. Also, the money we save can be put into more important things we are trying to do such as save for retirement or get the kids some new shoes. In addition to our savings, our overall quality of life will improve as a result of having healthier alternatives to what is available now.
