As a Las Vegas local since the early 1990's, I am accustomed to heartbreak. Realistically, I know these renovations won't be stopped. I am making this petition to show the owners of the Peppermill how beloved the current design is, and how unhappy many people would be with any changes.

I've lived in Las Vegas my whole life. Over the years, I've seen my favorite businesses and buildings disappear around me. It is distressing to see the list of historic landmarks dwindle. For many of us, hanging onto these pieces of history, such as The Peppermill Fireside Lounge, means maintaining a vital link to our past.

The Peppermill Fireside Lounge is not just a lounge; it is a piece of Las Vegas history and a time capsule of our culture. Opened in 1972, this unique establishment has been featured in films including “Casino”, “Showgirls”, and numerous TV shows. Each adding to its iconic status.

That's why the news of impending renovations is so concerning. The planned changes threaten the very character and charm of The Peppermill Fireside Lounge—a cherished institution which is perfect just the way it is.

Given the urgency of this situation, we’re appealing to the owners of The Peppermill Fireside Lounge to consider keeping the design elements intact. We understand that businesses need to be maintained after years of use. We are simply asking that the changes maintain the current design aesthetic. This isn't just about preserving a bar; it's about protecting Las Vegas' heritage and identity.

Please show your support for preserving an integral piece of Las Vegas' past and sign this petition. Let's ensure The Peppermill Fireside Lounge remains a beloved symbol of Las Vegas for generations to come!
