We Demand Full Cash Refunds from Gravity for Ragnarok Origin NA Players
The Issue
This petition seeks to give voice to the grievances of players of Ragnarok Origin NA (North America), a mobile MMORPG game developed by Gravity Interactive LLC, a subsidiary of GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc.
It is of our opinion that players of the NA server have thus far been subjected to (but not limited to):
- poor server maintenance
- routine game-breaking bugs
- predatory pricing schemes & gacha mechanisms
- inflexible refund policies
- disabling Discord suggestions channel
- routinely ignoring support tickets
- actively censoring criticism in Discord channel
The community of players have given Gravity many, many chances to remediate these issues. But the final straw came in the form of the 10/31 announcement that ROO:NA will be shutdown to make way for a new version of Ragnarok Origin.

As the ultimate slap in the face, they are NOT permitting character data from being transferred. They give the excuse of "technical limitations," but given Gravity's track record, it's all too convenient that "technical limitations" make it so that you'd have to spend money, AGAIN!
There is an apparent "incentive program" mentioned with ZERO details.
It's one thing to close a game altogether. But to re-release the same game and expect players to lose their original character, with hours upon hours of grinding, dedication, and real dollars spent, is a new low that even existing players cannot accept.
Many players have initiated a wave of refunds/chargebacks as a result. But, many chargeback policies prevent recuperation of funds beyond 30, 60, or 90 days.
We believe it is only right that all players who spent money on in-game items/services be offered FULL refunds as the least Gravity can do to remedy the situation and restore some semblance of faith in their customers.
We understand that petitions are mostly useless. However, with Gravity actively censoring discussion, it is necessary to have central forums to express our collective frustration and give awareness so that legal spectators, gaming content creators, etc. may turn their eye and help expose Gravity's alleged predatory practices.
