The Issue

We, the undersigned, respectfully urge the U.S. Department of Justice to intervene and review the Idaho 4+1 case (Idaho v. Bryan Kohberger), now that the state-level legal proceedings have been closed. This case originated in Latah County, Idaho, United States, and has attracted international attention due to unresolved questions about evidence handling, transparency, and defendants’ rights within the U.S. justice system.

The Official case-related documents and public records are available through the City of Moscow, Idaho:

https://www.ci.moscow.id.us/1165/Kohberger-Investigation-Documentspetition calls for accountability and clear, documented standards to protect due process in high-profile prosecutions.

Despite the apparent closure of the case within the state of Idaho, many serious concerns remain unanswered. The way this case has been rushed to conclusion—without a full trial, without the defense being able to challenge the evidence in open court—has left the public with growing doubts. For many observers, it appears incomplete, questionable, and deeply discouraging. We believe federal intervention is now not only appropriate—but necessary. A transparent, independent review at the federal level can help clarify the ambiguities, address potential violations of due process, and restore public trust in the justice system. If there has been any injustice or abuse of power, the federal government has the responsibility to correct it.

We are not asking for speculation or drama—we are asking for accountability, truth, and fairness. We urge the DOJ to act now.

As people who care deeply about justice and truth, we urge the Attorney General to:

Ensure federal oversight of this case

The pursuit of justice must never be hidden in darkness. The public deserves to know the truth.
