Our world is getting hotter, faster—we are now in dangerous territory. Global heat records are being repeatedly shattered, month after month, and year after year. In February 2016, global heat spiked to well over 1.5°C above pre-industrial temperatures—just weeks after the world agreed, at the Paris Climate Conference, to stay within that benchmark. 2014 was the hottest year on record, then surpassed by 2015.
