Hello All, I am a resident of Police Line Bazar, Burdwan (West Bengal). I am here to express my disappointment that WBSEDCL (electric board) has made by charging people with bills that are sky high. 

We all are hit hard by the pandemic, I understand. But charging people with huge electric bill is unacceptable. We live in the ground floor of our joint family house which comprises of 2.5 rooms, kitchen & Bathroom. We have AC installed in 2 rooms. But we use it very consciously (for an hour max through out the day), and the usage was not different in the last 3 months. 

We used to get bills in summer in between 1100-2000 per month. 

But surprisingly this month we were charged insanely high bills of 4091 each month. 

I was depressed when I saw the bill because I am from a middle-class family and I have budget planned for my expenses. But I had nothing to do except paying the bill. 

But when I checked in social media and my whatsApp contacts - people were in disgust since they were also charged Over the top. People with 2BHK accommodations were charged in the range12-19 thousand rupees for 3 months. 

I want to bring it to the notice of the government that this is wrong. This is crime. Looting innocent people is not what we expect. And we want government to take action against them.
