The WBSC and USA Softball recently released a new policy where it states that it will ban and penalize any player or team of any age or discipline in Baseball or Softball (Fast-Pitch & Slow-Pitch) who participates in an unofficially sanctioned tournament or event.

This hurts many traveling teams around the world who travel to many different tournaments in hopes of getting better at their sport.

This will also hurt sports tourism as a whole as it will destroy and eliminate all other associations, who are not affiliated with the WBSC and/or USA Softball, that bring thousands of events on an annual basis to many regions across the globe that WBSC and/or USA SOFTBALL do not host (or do not wish to host) in.

This will ultimately destroy the competition in the industry and create a monopoly causing the sport to suffer and drive many players and teams to stop participating altogether.

And last, this policy goes against everything sports stands for.  Sportsmanship, Competition, Camaraderie, Brotherhood/Sisterhood, Exchanging of Ideas and Cultures, and so many more.

Please help us ask President Fraccari of WBSC and Executive Director Craig Cress of USA Softball to end this policy right away.
