UPDATES ARE NOW AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PETITION

People have spent their hard earned money on a game that barely functions online. I purchased Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition (Steam) on the day of release,  and its singleplayer works FLAWLESSLY. The multiplayer is nowhere near great. Every match or so, people lag and if its one person thats lagging, its affecting the whole match. Injustice, from what I hear, suffers from the same problem and needs to be addressed if youre gonna be selling the game on any discounts. The biggest reason why I havent purchased Injustice is because of those rumors, and trust me, you dont want lag or slowdowns affecting your multiplayer experience on games that are meant to run on 60fps. Its almost as if , High Voltage Software hardly touched the multiplayer aspect and ignored it. Its sad and a disservice to the hardcore fans and even more to the competitive scene. The last thing we want, is to buy a game we are excited for, we want to play competitively but we cant because the publishers/developers do not want to support their amazing (and personally) favorite fighting franchise of all time. NetherRealm Studios handles themselves as professionals and listens to their fans in regards of mechanics and gameplay (i.e: Injustice on character fixes).

WB Games is the ones that are calling the shots. I've read from numerous people on the forums, that when they contact High Voltage Software about the video game needing fixing, they simply say contact WB Games. Is this a money issue? Are they not getting paid enough to patch this game? And, I seriously dont hope this is so, ARE THEY COLLECTING ALL THE MONEY FROM PURCHASES AND SALES AND SHARING VERY LOW PERCENTAGES OF IT ALL?! High Voltage Software is the developer and ported both these games on the PC. NetherRealm Studios supplied the netcode. Honestly, somewhere around the development, this thing got ignored. Please come to the agreement that you will patch this game and service your customers and die hard fans of the series. It is only right that you give us what we paid for.

 

 Few of the issues:

-Missing Lobbies: This fits into region lock (sorta) but doesnt. I am in Miami, and nobody is online. Make it East Coast/West Coast. Some people have to change resolution through .ini files and magically, the servers popup.  WHY?! 

 

-Graphical Slowdown: Some stages have this and even the fighter select lags. Seriously???

 

-Game DOESNT EVEN PASS THE SPLASH SCREEN. I seriously convinced a friend to play this game with me and he cant even pass the splash screen. My friend will never get his money back EVER because Steam has the most strict refund policy known to man

 

- Region lock : Dumbest thing i have ever seen. Why should i restart steam everytime i want to play people in russia when i lag hardcore playing from miami? Please fix this. Make it an option in the lobby to connect to USA, Europe-West, Europe-East, etc.

[Update 1/1/2014] Steam announces their sale of Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. Numerous threads are shown that the game fails to work or multiplayer doesnt meet expectations.

The saddest thing about this is, NOBODY from either studio goes on these forums and likes to address these issues. NOBODY wants to help, NOBODY wants to even show up on these forums. Like they take your money and leave because they know their product doesnt even work. Its a shame

[Update 1/5/2014] A user from steam community by the name of Bren submitted a ticket the response and ticket is in the message

Here is Bren from the steam forums with a detailed ticket submitted to WB Games, it describes his problems and issues with the experience of Injustice:

"Dear WB

I would like mention current (23.12.2013) situation of PC version of Injustice Gods Among Us. First of all I want to alert you this is not blaming but only complain email.

Studio High Voltage which do PC port completely failed in this goal. In order to make situation better you must push them to update the game and finished the job or do this job to another company. Especially online multiplayer is really bad.



There is list of issuess I have already found in this game:

-arkham and arkham joker maps have 30 fps transition and sometimes it lock game on 30 fps
-in MP takes a long to find match (1v1, ranked) sometimes it can be more than 30 minutes (can be caused by low comunity)
-in MP a lot of matches "no longer avaible" (characteristic for this match is a little black screen before character select so you can see game will end before you pick a hero)
-in MP a lot of matches after map connection screen game goes to black screen and nothing happen (only solution is alt + F4)
-own keyboard settings will work only if you go to save preset after you start game
-in some story mode minigames dont work own keyboard setting

-lobies are probably bugged too (0 people there sudenly.)

-disconnect statistic dont work

-online challenges are broken



Acording people on steam forum a lot of people cant play online multiplayer at all too.

Because of these problems online game is giong to die. Nobody want to play broken games. Even if I have over 1000 online matches played I cant recommend this game. I hope you will solve these problems. It is really annoying how even broken game like this can be released. Have High Voltage studio some betatesters? Just look on steam forums and you can see there is something wrong with this game (according some people same like MK).

I would like if you contact me about some information. Will this game be really fixed or you make it die? I would like to say this game is flawless to play online but I cant.

Please solve the situation."

 They then replied to him with this:

Update 1/7/2014 

I had a previous thread located in the Injustice Community discussion and it got locked as I tried to update it today. I wonder if it was because of a dispute between two users or if there was a developer... Anyway, users are still not getting attention and people are having crashes at startup. I have gotten support from Angryjoe as he Retweeted on twitter and on facebook about my petition.  You can check it out below:

[Update 01/13/14] Stuff is getting serious. We need this to get stickied not locked. My other thread in MK got LOCKED too. Im starting to think unhighly of this.

 [Update 02/02/14] Its been 8 months, this is ridiculous. The games have been on the winter sales and have sold broken games. That is truly outrageous. My fellow friends on the steam board have also emailed WB Games and they replied with "working on a patch" which is still to be released. Incredible that games like this can get away with money on a broken multiplayer experience. Here is a good rant from a user called (Dads Army) Private Pike:

"I have signed this also expressing my concern about how the gaming industry is being allowed to get away with so much in releasing games that are "not fit for the purpose they are intended" also putting some responsilbility on the shoulders of steam who continually allow these developers to advertise and sell their games despite public outrage on the games performance.

Surely steam should put into place a "flagging" system to where once a level of complaints has been exceeded within a very short period of time the games should be suspended from sale on steam ,and they should follow this up showing the gamers what action/s the developers are doing about combatting the issues.
Enough is enough .....greemlight should be stopped beta games banned and participating in games not fully developed also stopped.
Games you purchase if you fullfill or exceed the recommended system requirements ,you should have no issues at all .and no way should anyone have to alter settings for a game to play.
Its outrageous that they are allowed to continue this practice and it needs to be stopped."

 [Update] 2/21/2014: This is the third time they have deleted or locked a thread. I feel disrespected but its ok, I will not stop until they ban me if thats what it takes.
