Matthew Spaulding was a perpetrator of a racist and horrific incident in October involving blackface, but little to no action was taken. Now, messages sent by him have come to light further revealing his racism, with Spaulding making statements of blatant white supremacy. The Watchung Hills Community is not only offended by his actions, but by the lack of inaction from the school and his future college, Monmouth University. Now, we demand Matthew Spaulding's privilege to walk at graduation be taken away to ensure the safety and comfort of our students, and for his offer from Monmouth to be rescinded.
