COVID-19 is a pandemic that should be taken seriously. Just as we are taking the necessary precautions to protect ourselves and families, those same precaution should be taken for inmates in DC Jail. There has been COVID-19 exposure within DC jail and everyone is at risk. NON-violent inmates should be granted early release due to this pandemic. They also have human rights. Let these individuals return to there family and protect their health. What safety measure has been established for these individuals? How are individuals who were potentially exposed being quarantined? A jail is a big open space without circulation. All of the inmates are breathing the same air. What precautions have been established for these individuals to safe guard themselves? Something has to be done, Sooner than Later.
