Fire Patrick Hickey

The Issue

On November 5th, 1990 Patrick Hickey was escorted out of Addison High School, forced to resign, never to return.
He was not employed full-time again for almost an entire year.
His personnel file in Findlay mysteriously was “lost in a flood” amidst controversy.
He became personally involved with an employee to the degree her husband had to intervene; to which even after he aggressively pursued communication with her.
A reprimand was issued for this behavior in September, even though he should have been fired.
Even though the reprimand clearly states that he is not to intimidate those who reprimanded him, he is attempting to do so to Patricia Carmean by sending out a demeaning email to the entire WLS staff of 800+ employees.
The reprimand clearly states that Hickey’s interactions and conduct must avoid “even the appearance of impropriety,” yet the behavior continues off of school property with yet another female employee.
