13 year old, Chubby, a mixed breed dog, was taken by a man in Argyle then bound with duct tape and his mouth duct taped and thrown in a ditch, left to suffer and die. There were two men involved. The owner, accused to have told his friend to take the dog to suffocate it and the friend who alledgedly couldn't do it, but is the one to have bound the dog and left him. The Washington County NY district attourney is charging the men but says these actions do not warrant a felony charge. Even under "Buster's Law", all charges so far have not warranted jail time for the defendants. Animal cruelty charges and reprocutions need to change or with no fear of repercussions, society will not change. Please sign this petition. Washington County must make an example in our community. Nobody should get away with a slap on the wrist for duct taping a dog's mouth and feet and throwing it into a ditch to suffer and die. It's inhumane. (photo above courtesy of the Post Star)
Indict the two men charged with duct taping a dog with felony charges.
This case is of significant importance to raise awareness of and fight back against all animal cruelty.
