We The Washington College community, hereby petition all Washington College Administration and the Washington College Board of Visitors and Governors to uphold and execute the Letter of Demands constructed by students and faculty of Washington College. 

We petition that the selected interim President and interim Provost both pledge to fulfill the promises made to the students, faculty, staff and community of Washington College by their predecessors.

We petition that the interim President and interim Provost both commit to a new timeline agreed upon with the diversity committee in which they plan to fulfill and successfully complete the Letter of Demands. 

We petition that the Diversity Statement be included in the honor code that any acts of racial inequity, prejudice or discriminatory behavior including but not limited to hate speech, stereotyping, racial profiling and micro-aggressions be punishable under Washington College legislation.

We petition that any inability to adhere to the Washington College Diversity Statement be in direct violation of the honor code and therefore can be rectified by disciplinary action.
