The current building that Washburn University's Education Department resides in, Carnegie Hall, is inaccessible to students like me with physical disabilities because the building is historical. Many students, including myself, were and are deterred from pursuing a career in Education and that is inequitable. I am graduating in May with my bachelor's in Education because I was my advocate, but this is a larger issue than myself, so I fight for those who will someday follow in my footsteps.
