Bronson Harmon was revoked of his scholarship at a school in California after a video that emerged of him yelling a homophobic slur during a counter protest at a Families Belong Together rally garnered national media attention in 2018. Despite this incident, he was admitted to Wartburg College in the fall of 2019. His actions since then clearly and undeniably demonstrate that he has not changed and should not be given any more “second chances”.

Earlier this week, photos and videos surfaced of Bronson attending a counter protest led by Neo Nazis who harassed and threatened Black Lives Matter protestors in Oakdale, California. Multiple students and alumni have contacted the Wartburg administration in response to this latest incident, but the college has yet to respond. 

Wartburg College cannot continue to tolerate the hateful behavior of this student while putting its minority students at risk. We demand concrete, tangible actions that support the college’s claim that “hate has no place here”. We demand that Bronson Harmon be immediately expelled from Wartburg College.
