There has been no consultation with residents, parish councils, local groups or councillors in South Warrington prior to the decision being taken to close the only tip and recycling centre in South Warrington.  Sandy Lane Recycling Centre serves the 80,000 residents of South Warrington and without it there is potential for a reduction in recycling, longer car journeys and increased traffic across Warrington, litter and fly-tipping.
