Install CCTV Security Cameras at Boat Ramp Carparks in the Far North Qld Region
The issue
We need CCTV security cameras installed at boat ramp car parks to ensure the safety of our vehicles and trailers. Boat ramp car parks have been targeted in attacks causing substantial amounts of money lost in property theft and damage to vehicles.
There has also been a bad case of littering and leaving fish frames around the boat ramps which encourages crocodiles to approach the ramps. We don't want crocodiles removed; we want people to take responsibility for their rubbish.
If CCTV Security cameras were installed, we believe this would be a deterrent for criminal activity and littering as people would be held accountable for their actions.
The fishing community are fed up and something needs to be done. We as a community are requesting that the following boat ramp car parks have CCTV Security Cameras installed to deter crime and improper disposal of fish remains:
Deeral, Ross Road
Boat ramp
Redbank Creek, Pine Creek Road
Boat ramp
Edmonton, Thompson Road, (upstream)
Boat ramp
Edmonton, Thompson Road, (downstream)

Second Beach, Yarrabah Road
