Make a peace agreement
The Issue
Thanks to the childish conflict between Tolkien Estate and Warner Brothers there will hardly ever be any other Tolkien’s movie adaptation besides Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. The imprudency of Warner Bros to conduct a story without asking for Tolkien Estate's opinion on how the story should go, is only worsened by Tolkien's Estate's excuse for sueing WB... Their little confict doesn't only kill people's enthusiam for a story made indying by the movies created so far, as it allows books like ‘silmarillion’ to stay on the shelves never to be read or to be known about.
A peace agreement should be elaborated between the two because there is no crime on producing an adaptation that majorities assume to be "just what they see they are" while others see the real meaning inunder the story. The understanding of any sort of deep meaning under someone's words is only up to the reader to understand. The same thing for a movie maker. There can't be any determined meaning of someone's metaphor, for example because each person as his interpretation... If the movies don't answer Tolkien Estate's expectations, it is only their fault because people are being "prived" of the best movies ever inside the whole range of book adaptations that would complete the story of Middle-Earth.
Tolkien Estate alleged that Warner Brothers was in breach of the terms and conditions of the original contract which awarded them limited rights to the franchise in terms of tangible personal property. This sue is due to the merchandizing around Lord of the Rings slot machine... Really... Let's stop this childish and not let Tolkien's Estate continue denyingpeople the right to know more about Tolkien's world. (in my particular case, if it wasn't for the movies, I would have never read Tolkien)
Read what Peter Jackson (Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit film director) said in comic-son San Diego when asked if there would be any more movies based on Tolkien's books, such as Silmarillion:
"I don’t think the Tolkien estate liked those films. I don’t think The Silmarillion will go anywhere for quite a long time."
