On May 23, 2016, Amber Heard filed for divorce against Oscar-nominated actor Johny Depp. She also obtained a temporary restraining order amongst claims that Depp was abusive towards her, and usually under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She reached a settlement of $7 million dollars on August 16, 2016. Then in December of 2018, Heard wrote a piece for The Washington Post saying she was abused.

In 2019, Johnny Depp sued Heard for $50 million for defamation of character due to that very same Washington Post article.

And in 2020, phone recordings were released in which Heard admitted to hitting Depp. Yet still, with a landslide of evidence, Johnny Depp lost his trial against Heard and was released from his part of Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise.

This is a public call-out to Warner Brothers. Hear our voices and let it be known that if Johnny Depp goes down and loses his roll, Amber Heard deserves to lose her part as Mera in the next installment of Aquaman. It has already been confirmed she will be reprising her role; On Depp's behalf, we the people cannot let Heard portray Mera any longer. If Depp goes down, so should she.
