The Issue

To Warner Bros (whom it may concern):

I for one am not condemning your company for the decision that was made about Johnny Depp stepping down from his role as Grindewald in your upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie. However, consider this: Ever since the book release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 1997 and the vision the movies have created since 2001, there has never been a change in cast (other than of course, the death of the original portrayer of Albus Dumbledore). Yes, always a change in producers, writers, and directors, but never a change in the actors and the roles' they have given us. With this movie being the penultimate climax of, not only the Fantatstic Beasts movies but the Harry Potter Wizarding World itself, it would be a huge injustice to fans of Harry Potter, fans like me since 1997 (and there are PLENTY of us out there) to change one of the main characters. It would be absolutely catastrophic to one of the greatest stories of magic-users ever told.

Please, highly reconsider your decision with asking Johnny Depp to step down from his Gellert Grindewald role. You're not only hurting Mr. Depp, but you're causing a major blow to us (billions) of fans worldwide. We understand your decision. Please reverse this.

Thank you
