Wargaming’s World of Tanks Console has recently introduced a new promotional season with their latest update.  This is one of many that they have done over the last two years which included a year long event that allowed players to earn multiple tanks, and the most recent which provided a bonus tank to its users who finished the event and had an active premium account.

Wargaming’s latest event titled Summer Slam is another multi-month event with many tanks to be earned, however, of the four tanks earnable, only one can be earned without purchasing a season pass.  For those already paying for premium, they will find that their premium access does not unlock the season pass.  Therefore, they must pay additional money (gold) to get access to the bulk of the event’s rewards.

Wargaming has modeled this new event after the passes that are bought in games like PuBG and Fortnite, but in those cases there is not a general premium membership with the season pass stacked on top of it.

By creating this structure, Wargaming is taking their paying customers who are paying typically around $15 per month for premium access and charging them even more to get access to seasonal game content.  

We feel that this is not fair to Wargaming’s paying customers who are already supporting the game and therefore we demand either the removal of the season pass system in World of Tanks Console all together, or that Wargaming waive any charge for the season pass for those who are already paying for premium content.

Wargaming states one of their core values as  “Happy Players, Player happiness is the cornerstone of our success.” We hope this petition demonstrates the dissatisfaction of Wargaming's paying premium account customers.
