In 1995 the world was introduced to a magical place where regardless of your standing in society you could feel like equals. This place was Camp Hope. Tony Perkis did everything in his power to take that away from Gerald Garner and his friends one horrid summer. Gerald, Roy, Josh and the other campers that summer rallied together to take back the camp from Tony and his gang of goons (looking at you Lars). Not only did they take back their camp but they also beat Camp MVP in the Apache Relay which many of us refer to as "the most intense scene in cinematic history." This movie made us laugh, cry, and every feeling in between. It's more than just a movie though, it's a journey. We were pulled into camp hope as viewers and in a way we never really left. We are all still waiting to experience "The Blob". This petition is to bring attention to Disney, Ben and Jerry Stiller, along with the rest of the cast and crew from the original film, that there is an entire generation waiting for the sequel we deserve. I can only assume that Gerald Garner has gone back to Camp Hope over the last 20+ summers and is now the owner and operator of the camp. Disney needs to show us 90's kids, and the rest of the world, what has become of the boys in the Chipmunk Cabin.
