Mulan is a movie about love and comedy, we do not want action. We want Mushu. Mushu is a needed comedic relief, he provides laughter for dark moments in a war riddled movie. Shang is the main love interest. He is a bisexual character that helps move the plot and he “makes a man” out of Mulan. it would be aspiring to the lgbtq+ community to see a bisexual character helping Mulan transition. “Mulan” would be a better movie with Shang and Mushu in it.
