Esmerelda is a strong 16-year-old girl, who fights for social justice in Disney's adaptation of Victor Hugo's book, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. While she is not a princess in the story, characters like Mulan have proven that you do not have to have that title in the story to enter the realm of Official Disney Princesses. And while she isn't the main character of the story, Jasmine isn't either, and she is also an Official Disney Princess.
