Alex Hirsch says if he could, he'd continue gravity falls through a videogame. Disney is not into this market, and Alex can't continue without Disney's consent. Many fans of the series have been upset with the early end of gravity falls, and this, in my opinion, is a perfect way to continue the story of Gravity Falls.

Considering that Alex created the show and wants to continue it, it's a bit sad that he can't currently. Many Fans would be happy with this return, and Disney will generally agree, if enough of the audience shows they want it. Gravity falls has had a video game before and it can again if enough fans show they want it.

When my friend recommended Gravity Falls to me and I started watching the show, I instantly was invested, since then, Gravity Falls has remained my favorite show. I was sad when I met the end of Gravity Falls.

I believe a Gravity Falls game with Alex Hirsch working on it would be awesome and make Disney a bunch of money. A win-Win scenario. Seeing Gravity Falls come back in one of the best ways possible would be an awesome experience. Me and many other fans would love seeing the series return like this after years of ending.
