In 2002, Disney cancelled production on Treasure Planet II, a sequel to the cult classic, Treasure Planet. As a big fan of the original movie, I would have loved to see a continuation of the story of Jim Hawkins. Seeing that Disney is willing to make sequels of their past works, I think that this is a real possibility. The reason that they did not finish production is because the first film did not succeed at the box office. So if they see that there are enough fans out there in support of a sequel, they might consider it. You can find more information about the would be film here.
