Around 2006 and 2007 The Whole World was hit with the brilliant invention of the Heely. It is simply a shoe with a wheel on the ankle that is removable. The wheel is easy to place in the shoe as well as easy to remove. When I was in elementary school they banned them from the playground because “to many children were getting hurt”. As a 6/7 year old I was devastated that my friends with Heelys would never be able to wheel around school again. Now that I am an adult I bought my own Heelys and would like to wear them around school, but found out that the rule that banned Heelys is still being enforced. I also went to Disneyland and was not allowed to wear them there either. I am a grown person and should be able to wear whatever shoes I want. I have made this petition to allow me to wear them both at school, Disneyland, and anywhere else I please.
