Petition updateWhat the Fork Are You Doing With Your Produce, Walmart?
Walmart is taking food waste seriously -- thanks to you!

Hey everyone,
First off, thank you!
Yesterday, I met with Walmart Public Relations and Sustainability staff to deliver the Walmart petition to end food waste. I am appreciative of the meeting and the steps they are taking to source "ugly" produce. The progress they're starting to make is substantial and media outlets including Huffington Post, NPR, and others have been reporting on it!
What our petition and 140,000 petition-signers want is a commitment to starting a test pilot full line and program of "ugly" produce. This should be 5 to 10 fruits and vegetables all year-round that could develop into something available all over the U.S.
What they have announced so far is not enough just yet.
With that, we will continue our petition at Change.org/WhatTheForkWalmart and efforts to see a program like this in U.S. Walmarts one day.
You can do more right now by going to http://chn.ge/29Xhbx8 to start a petition to your local Walmart stores (for example Walmarts in the Houston area) asking them to start selling "ugly" produce.
There are already some great ones from around the country, but we need more.
Thank you!
