Stop the cruelty to pigs

I was shocked and horrified by the cruelty to animals recently documented by hidden camera of Mercy for Animals in one of your pork suppliers. I expected better of your business. The video shows pregnant sows confined in gestation crates so small narrow they are unable to even turn around, walk, lie down comfortably, or to engage in most other natural behaviors. The horrific treatment reserved for pigs by your provider is absolutely unacceptable. Also the fate of piglets is just disgusting, intolerable, inhuman!! Your company has the power and ethical responsibility to demand that your pork suppliers to phase out gestation crates inherently cruel. Many retailers nation's largest grocery and fast food outlets, including Costco, Safeway, Kroger, Kmart, McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy, have already done. In addition, nine U.S. states have banned gestation crates for pigs. What are you waiting for? It is time for your company to take a stand against animal abuse by ending the sale of pork from suppliers that confine pigs in these cases outdated and barbaric. So I'm asking for an immediate end to the mistreatment of pigs!
